The Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk returns to Fashion Island on Sunday, Sept. 27, with organizers aiming to raise $805,000 for breast cancer research and patient services.

The annual walk, held at the Pacific Life campus at Fashion Island, draws thousands of survivors, patients living with metastatic breast cancer, families and supporters. The 2025 walk brought nearly 10,000 people to the same Newport Beach venue and raised close to $750,000 against a $790,000 goal, the Newport Beach Indy reported.

The 2026 target is $15,000 higher than the 2025 goal. As of Sept. 21, the walk's online fundraising tracker showed about $474,000 raised, a running total that updates daily as donations come in, according to Komen's registration page.

Komen said in a press release that funds raised go toward patient care, research, education and advocacy. The organization reported that more than 5 million people used Komen's breast health information resources in fiscal year 2026.

The walk also promotes what Komen calls "Breast Honesty," encouraging open conversations about breast health, personal risk and screening.

More than 34,000 Californians are expected to receive a breast cancer diagnosis in 2026, according to Orange Coast magazine.
