The Newport Beach Public Library will celebrate the grand opening of Witte Hall with a free weekend of events on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, kicking off a stretch of community gatherings across the city that runs through Saturday, July 18.

Here's what's coming up.

Witte Hall Grand Opening — Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12

The library's new Witte Hall opens with three free events over one weekend. An Open House & Family Summer Celebration runs Saturday, July 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. That evening at 7 p.m., surf legend Shaun Tomson takes the stage for an author event. On Sunday, July 12, a cello quartet performs a Sunday Musicale at 3 p.m.

All three events are free and take place at Witte Hall, according to the library's announcement through the city's newsletter.

Vintage Finds with Rissa Jarratt — Friday, July 17

Collector Rissa Jarratt will bring a selection of antique objects to SHOPPE Amber Interiors at Lido Marina Village on Friday, July 17, from 2 to 5 p.m. Jarratt, who sources pieces from markets around the world, describes herself as coming from a family of retailers stretching back to her grandparents' shop in Missouri.

SHOPPE, the retail storefront of Amber Lewis's Amber Interiors design brand, is located at 3404 Via Oporto, Suite 101. The event was announced on the Lido Marina Village website. No admission price has been listed; residents can check lidomarinavillage.com for details.

Female Maker Market: Summer Edition — Saturday, July 18

More than 30 female artists and artisans will sell their work on the Lido Deck at Lido Marina Village on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to event organizers. The open-air market overlooks Newport Harbor and features live music from Lauren Black. Admission is free.

The market has appeared at Lido Marina Village multiple times in 2026, including a Mother's Day edition in May that drew more than 30 vendors.
